ABOUT PROJECT WARMTH:

The purpose of Project Warmth is to make winter months more bearable for thousands of Kansas City area residents in need. Since Project Warmth was started by The Kansas City Star in 1982 and then partnered with KCTV5 Heat for Life in 1983, Project Warmth has collected more than 2,200 tons of coats and blankets and more than $7.25 million for area children, families and the elderly.

All items collected are sorted and distributed FREE by the Salvation Army, and given to approximately 100 agencies and shelters in the 8-county Metropolitan area for needy in their respective areas.
